Born 1993, Poznań, Poland
Maria Roszyk is a multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work harmonizes organic creativity with deep spiritual and environmental values. Her artistic practice spans textile and paper art, installations, computer programming, and writing.
As a devoted Catholic and eco-conscious mother raising three children, Roszyk’s work is profoundly influenced by her faith and commitment to sustainable living. Her art embodies a commitment to harmony with her values, body, and the natural world. By integrating themes of spirituality and everyday life, she creates pieces that serve as a bridge between the sacred and the ordinary, inviting viewers to discover beauty and meaning in the commonplace.
Roszyk’s practice not only celebrates the poetics of daily life but also challenges conventional boundaries, offering a unique perspective that resonates with both the heart and mind.
See WorksRoszyk talks about her motherhood using textile as a medium - scraps, fabric waste, which constitute the natural surroundings of many mothers. She also reaches for wild flowers and collects them during walks with her children. She is not an artist who waits until her offspring finally become independent and can return to creating. Motherhood is now the main topic of her art, which she tackles with real passion.
